Lisle Community Band

    The Lisle Community Concert and Jazz Bands invite you to become a member for the 2008 Summer Season.  We are looking forward to an exciting and fun-filled summer of music.

    Some wonderful music is planned for this summer with a variety of marches, overtures, original works for band, solo features and popular works.  We encourage variety in our membership as well.  High school age students and adults of any age are welcome to join.  Come get in shape if you haven't been playing, and if you have been playing,  we need you to lead us in our concerts.

    The band is open, without audition, to all woodwind, brass and percussion players.  Some band instruments will be available for use without charge.  For information on available instruments, contact Steven Green, the band director at 630-493-8375 or sgreen@lisle202.org.

    You may register by printing and mailing the Registration form on this website.  The fee for each member is $25 for the season.  The maximum fee for members in one family regardless of number is $50.  The Lisle Community Band is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with a board of directors.  As a member you will vote for our board of directors;  if you are interested you may run for a position on the board.

    Our Concert Band rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Thursday, June 5 ^th, through the month of June and every Tuesday in July.  Rehearsals are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the band room at Lisle Senior High School, 1800 Short St., Lisle.  The Jazz Band rehearsals are every Sunday starting  June 15 ^th with George Dzuricsko.  (Full schedule here.)

    Our Concert Band schedule begins with a performance on June 26^th.  We will also march in a short parade on July 4^th at Eyes to the Skies in Lisle.  The remaining performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on July 10^th, 17^th and 24^th.  The Jazz Band will perform on July 31^st.  All concerts are performed on the stage on the east side of the Park District building across from the High School.  In the event of rain the performances will be in the High School auditorium.

 

    PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO OUR LIBRARIANS ARE ABLE TO PREPARE THE MUSIC FOR THIS SEASON.
