Lisle Community Band

    The Lisle Community Band invites you to be a member of our concert band and/or our jazz band for the 2011 Summer Season.  The Lisle Community Band is conducted by Steven Green.  We are looking forward to an exciting and fun-filled summer of music.

    A wonderful variety of music is planned for this summer with a mixture of marches, overtures, original works for band, solo features and popular works.  We encourage a variety in our membership as well.  High school age students and adults of any age are welcome to join.  If you have not been playing for a while get that instrument out and come join us to rekindle all the fun you had performing in e past.  If you have been playing regularly, we need you to help lead us in our concerts.

    Both bands are open, without audition, to musicians on all woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.  For more information about the Lisle Community Band, contact Steven Green at

    You may register by printing and mailing the Registration form on this website.  The fee for each member is $25 for the season.  The maximum fee for members in one family regardless of number is $50.  The Lisle Community Band is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with a board of directors.  As a member you will vote for our board of directors;  if you are interested you may run for a position on the board.

    Our Concert Band rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, June 7 ^th, through the month of June and every Tuesday in July.  Rehearsals are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the band room at Lisle Senior High School, 1800 Short St., Lisle.  The Jazz Band rehearsals are every Sunday starting  June 12 ^th with George Dzuricsko from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  (Full schedule here.)

    Our Concert Band schedule begins with a performance on June 23^rd.  We will also march in a short parade on July 4^th in downtown Lisle.  The remaining performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on July 7^th, 14^th and 21^st.  The Jazz Band will perform on July 28^th.  All concerts are performed on the stage on the east side of the Park District building across from the High School.  In the event of rain the performances will be in the High School auditorium.

 

    PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO OUR LIBRARIANS ARE ABLE TO PREPARE THE MUSIC FOR THIS SEASON.
